Move your body, move your mind

Sometimes it can be challenging to know how to get out of a bad mood. Thoughts get stuck in the same cycle and you feel low on energy. Have you ever noticed how your body-posture is when you are in this state? Probably head down and shoulders a bit forward.
Did you know that you could use your body to get your mind in to a more positive state?

When you use your body the energy starts to flow. The brain produces serotonin and oxytocin which are our body`s happy hormones. This will make you feel more positive, happier and can help you get out of the negative state.
Start by getting up from what ever you are doing, and do something physical to change the state you are in.
It can be going for a walk, strength training, running or anything that shifts your physical state.
One thing that has been proven very effective is the power pose. Have you tried it? Stand up straight, shoulders back, lift your chin and stretch your arms out to the side as much as you can. Feel the powerful feeling inside you.
Try one of these exercises next time you feel a bit low, and tell us how your feel afterwards :)
This is such a helpful reminder! I tried the power pose after reading this and honestly felt a huge shift in my energy. The science behind it makes total sense. Also, I love using a gradient generator to create calming visuals while I work—it’s a nice bonus for staying in a positive headspace. Thanks for sharing!
