Psychologists have scientifically proven that one of the greatest contributing factors to overall happiness in your life is how much gratitude you show.
Recently, I took the time to think about the person in my life that I am the most grateful for. I was encouraged to write down the reasons I'm so grateful for that person and then pick up the phone and call that person. That person was my Dad and I called him to tell why I was so grateful to have him in my life. His phone went to voicemail, so I left a message, but I felt truly moved and emotionally connected by leaving the message and hoped that he would also feel good to have received it. It's the small actions in life that we sometimes don't think will have much of an impact that truly do.
