The last day of my gratitude experiment

Hello!

My name’s Emma (18) and I’m taking part in the Being Grateful experiment. The idea is to spend a few minutes every day for a week to think about what you’re grateful for and see the difference that can make. This is the last post in the series on what being grateful means to me.

Friday

I am grateful for everything

After a week of sitting back and thinking about what I’m thankful for I realise that it’s everything. From my family and friends to my favourite band and youtube to books, music and everything inbetween. But you know what? I’m thankful for this experience because it gave me the chance to think about all these things, to really see the good in the bad days and to enjoy the great days. I’m sure I will continue to think about what I’m grateful for before it makes you feel good, even if the thing you’re grateful for is you didn’t get rained on or you made your train on time, whatever it may be no matter how big or small. It’s five minutes of your day that can make you smile, try it even on your worst days, there’ll be something.

Reflection: How do you take time in your day to practice being grateful? It's five minutes of your day that can make you smile. Try it even on your worst days, there’ll be something.
